I am up 2.6 pounds over yesterday.  What the hell.  The only thing I ate off book yesterday was 4 pieces of watermelon.  I mean 4, 1 inch cubes, totaling under a cup.  While this probably has around 21 carbs, these aren’t the kind of carbs I would associate with rapid weight gain.  This could just be normal fluctuation in body weight.  I will have to stick to the plan a little better, and wait it out.

Morning Diet Journal

I woke up around 8:00am this morning, and hung out for a bit.  I went up to cook breakfast and take my vitamins.  After that was done, I headed downstairs to eat.  I weighed in beforehand, and came in 2.6 pounds over yesterday.  The only thing I ate yesterday, that wasn’t accounted for in MyFitnessPal is about a cup of watermelon.  While watermelon may be low in calories, it is higher in carbs than I would like.  I wouldn’t have thought that these carbs would account for 2.6 pounds of weight gain overnight.  I will have to stick to the diet a little closer, and wait this out.

Looking back on it, I wonder if it was the stir fry sauce, that is responsible for the weight gain.  I am unsure, but that is all I can think of.  I will be omitting this sauce from further meals, to see if that is the case.

Afternoon Diet Journal

I had lunch around 3:00pm or so.  It was the chicken and stir fry vegetable meal, that I usually have.  I left out the sauce that came with the vegetables.  It was still pretty good, because the sauce from the chicken mixed in well.

After lunch I took a nap until around 5:00pm.  I napped partly out of boredom, and partly out of hunger.  I wanted to avoid getting into trouble, so I justy stayed downstairs.

Evening Diet Journal

I screwed dinner up pretty hard.  In my effort to leave the stir fry sauce off of the vegetables, I went for a sweet chili sauce I found in the fridge.  This sauce was bought at a Chinese market, and had no nutritional label.  I used maybe 4 tablesppons mixed in with the vegetables, and finished cooking up dinner.

Dinner was incredibly good, but when I was putting it into MyFitnessPal, and Googled the sauce, it has like 20g of carbs per 2 tbsp.  My bad.  That is really going to screw with my numbers tonight.  I will have to seek alternatives, or not sauce the vegetables to begin with.  Let’s call this a learning experience.  I am expecting a modest amount of weight gain tomorrow, probably from the carbs in this damn sauce.

I knew it was going to be bad.  I am going back to northwestern vegetables in my meals, because there are fewer unknowns for me.  I will have to do that next week.  Until then I will have to find ways to make these vegetables work, until I get rid of them.
